Stop All The World Now

Howie Day's song Collide was what got me interested in his album in the first place. The song has been dominating the airwaves for the past few months, be it in the Top 10, 20 or 30 spots, it just brings a sense of reality to music everywhere, and has it's bittersweet moments as a love song.

Day has cited important groups and songwriters amongst his influences, Radiohead, Dave Matthews, Jeff Buckley and the list goes on. He manages to incorporate their influences and come up with a style of his own. Brace Yourself, Collide, She Says and Come Lay Down are just some of my favourite tracks on the album, especially Come Lay Down, which almost sounds gothic and beckoning, like an exhausting siren call that twists its way around your soul and finds a place to stay.

With all the latest new talents out there like Ryan Cabrera, Tyler Hilton, Gavi
n DeGraw, Avril Lavigne, just to name a few, Howie Day has established himself in this second venture. Stop All The World Now is a truly inspiring album and highly recommended to guitar audiophiles out there. For being only 24 years old, he certainly expresses his maturity in singing/songwriting talents that are comparable with singer/songwriter Richard Marx at that age.

Peanuts

Peanuts, it's a very common word to use now in connection with something that happened here. I loved this version, even if it's a local version of Peanuts, it's a good one. Borrowed with courtesy from www.talkingcock.com. You can click ton enlarge it.
